Here is our priority County Cup against Notts Metropolics at our home pitch.
On 2nd mins good tackle by Cresswell(2mins), one min later Metros gk saved good shot from Slater(3mins). Referee awarded away team their free kick as Wolfe headed ball away(6mins). Again their gk punched low ball away from Grimsby nutcase Denmead(7mins), O.Wilcox scored by ball went gk's legs(11mins). Slater could have to score as Metros defender stopped him from scoring the goal(17mins), Hubbard gave opponent a bad tackle & gave them free kick but luckily they hit the post(29mins). O.Wilcox recieved ball on his chest and flicked it over gk but he jumped & catched(30mins). Wolfe half volleyed & hit the post(44mins). What a gentleman Stone jumped over the tackle & kindly passed to Slater as he scored(45mins). On 2nd half, Stone dribbled from half way & tried to blast ball to goal but gk catched(46mins), from our cornerkick went to Cresswell kicked ball over the bar by measly one yard(47mins), Cresswell leaped & headed ball as it bounced gk's chest off then Denmead half volleyed it but went over the bar too hard(55mins). Wright made his mistake which he let away player to get ball as he scored(64mins) then Metros scored again by heading from the cornerkick which made 2-2(70mins). Substitues time! Marshall replaced Denmead(78mins), J.Wilcox almost scored by inches(85mins) then his brother O.Wilcox got bit greedy as he shot ball away from goal but he should have to pass to his brother which he was in open area(86mins). Finally Slater scored a beauty goal then he ran to punch the flagpost(88mins), Hind got on the pitch as he replaced Hubbard as same time Cresswell got booked for bad tackle(89mins) then away team scored on very last min(90mins) that made 3-3. Extra-time, White played very well & he almost scored from 40 yards(94mins), Hundal had no chance to save ball from Metros which he should have to punch ball away with both hands not one(95mins), Marshall saved Hundal's biggest A**E by heading ball away(96mins). Slater got his disallowed goal(98mins), Metros blasted ball & hit the bar but somehow it went into the goal(100mins). Slater finally got his hat trick by recieve ball from Cresswell as he flicked it over gk's head(102mins), Wolfe made himself a fool as he gave ball to opponent & he scored(112mins). We were out of County Cup 4-6.
