Athletic started the game strongly and dominated the first half creating and missing numerous chances and being thwarted by the Finham keeper. The second half followed the same pattern until 10 minutes from time when Finham had a good spell and took the lead following a good cross which ended in the Athletic defenders panicing and conceding an own goal.
The pressure was now on and Athletic stormed forward and with only three minutes left equalized through man of the match Ben Horner sliding the ball in from a low cross.
The game went into extra time and Athletic finally won the game in the second period with two scrambled goals from Josh Tyler.
This was a very entertaining game played in a sporting manner. Well done to the players from both sides.
